The AI trade got two of its largest financing events in a single day: Anthropic made its IPO paperwork public and Meta laid out a stock sale plan it has since raised to $97.5 billion. Chip stocks rallied while Meta slipped, Celestica set a $40 billion revenue target for 2027 and Cadence raised its outlook.

### Anthropic files for a Nasdaq IPO, showing $16.3 billion in first-half revenue

Anthropic [filed an S-1](https://www.anthropic.com/news/s1-sec?ref=thealphaagentic.com) to list Class A shares on the Nasdaq under the ticker "ANT," without yet setting a share count or price range. The [filing shows](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/2130357/000162828026067168/anthropicpbc-sx1.htm?ref=thealphaagentic.com) revenue of $16.29 billion for the six months ended June 30, up from $1.16 billion a year earlier, and an operating loss of $693 million. Its $80.75 billion net loss came mostly from a $72.39 billion fair value change on convertible notes, derivatives and SAFEs, and it held $131.65 billion in cash and short-term investments.

**What It Means for Investors:** If the offering prices well, it could reopen public markets for other AI labs and ease last week's neocloud funding worries, though a founder share class with 50.1% of the vote could weigh on the valuation.

### Meta upsizes its stock sale, lifting its equity plan to $97.5 billion

Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) [priced $25 billion](https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/meta-announces-pricing-of-offering-of-depositary-shares-representing-series-a-mandatory-convertible-preferred-stock-and-offering-of-class-a-common-stock-in-connection-with-forward-sale-agreements-302920247.html?ref=thealphaagentic.com) of Class A common stock at $625 a share, upsized from $22.5 billion, and $12.5 billion of 6.50% mandatory convertible preferred shares. It also [plans a roughly $60 billion](https://investor.atmeta.com/investor-news/press-release-details/2026/Meta-Announces-Launch-of-Offering-of-Depositary-Shares-Representing-Series-A-Mandatory-Convertible-Preferred-Stock-and-Offering-of-Class-A-Common-Stock-in-Connection-with-Forward-Sale-Agreements/default.aspx?ref=thealphaagentic.com) at-the-market program once its new Class C shares begin trading. Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA), Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ: AMD) and Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO) indicated interest in buying up to $5 billion of the common stock. Meta fell 1.88% Monday; the $625 price is 0.9% below that close, by our math.

**What It Means for Investors:** If Meta uses the full at-the-market program, existing holders face further dilution, and chip suppliers buying in could add to the concerns about circular AI financing that analysts are raising, [according to Reuters](https://www.streetinsider.com/Reuters/Meta+eyes+record+%2495+billion+equity+raise+to+fund+AI+expansion/27230549.html?ref=thealphaagentic.com).

### Chip stocks rally as the S&P 500 gains 0.7%

The iShares Semiconductor ETF (NASDAQ: SOXX) rose 2.85% on Monday, with Nvidia up 2.39%, Micron (NASDAQ: MU) up 2.98%, AMD up 2.80% and Broadcom up 2.33%. The S&P 500 gained 0.7% to 7,676.77 and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.8%. CNBC [tied the rally](https://www.cnbc.com/2026/10/25/stock-market-today-live-updates.html?ref=thealphaagentic.com) to Anthropic's IPO filing reviving enthusiasm for the AI trade.

**What It Means for Investors:** SOXX remains below its Oct. 21 close of 510.36, and if Microsoft and Alphabet's results after Wednesday's close raise new questions about AI returns, the rebound could fade quickly.

### Celestica raises its 2026 outlook and guides to $40 billion in 2027 revenue

Data center hardware maker Celestica (NYSE: CLS) [reported third-quarter revenue](https://corporate.celestica.com/news-releases/news-release-details/celestica-announces-third-quarter-2026-financial-results-and?ref=thealphaagentic.com) of $5.83 billion, up 83%, and adjusted EPS of $3.30, both above its guidance ranges. It raised its 2026 revenue outlook to $21.0 billion from $20.5 billion but cut its free cash flow forecast to $460 million from $600 million, citing working capital for 2027 growth. For 2027 it guided to $40.0 billion in revenue and said customer demand forecasts for 2028 are "meaningfully higher." The stock fell 5.14% before the release.

**What It Means for Investors:** If hyperscalers deliver on those forecasts, server and networking suppliers could see demand rise through 2028, though inventory that roughly doubled this year to $4.51 billion shows how much cash the ramp consumes.

### Cadence lifts its full-year forecast on AI chip design demand

Cadence Design Systems (NASDAQ: CDNS) [reported third-quarter revenue](https://www.cadence.com/en%5FUS/home/company/newsroom/press-releases/pr-ir/2026/cadence-reports-third-quarter-2026-financial-results.html?ref=thealphaagentic.com) of $1.633 billion, up 22%, with record backlog of $8.2 billion, and raised its 2026 revenue outlook to $6.387 billion to $6.417 billion, which it said implies 21% growth. CFO John Wall cited "growing momentum from AI-driven designs."

**What It Means for Investors:** Because design software precedes chip production, sustained growth at Cadence could signal that customers are still planning new AI silicon despite financing worries among its buyers.

Chip stocks led Monday's gains after Anthropic's IPO filing, while Meta and Celestica fell.
